. . .a grand old lady, stately, standing proudly at the end of the long dirt drive, as it has for over 100 years, shimmering in the daylight with its new white coat, adorned with unique gingerbread trim and decorative columns flanked with huge Boston ferns. Its wrap-around porch with a scattering of linen-draped tables graced with miniature centerpieces, lead to the sunroom at one end, and, at the other, the old porch swing with a slight back-and-forth motion waiting to take the first guest for a relaxing ride… The Old House at Meriwether, constructed in the late 1800's and located a short distance south of Montgomery is the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding, or intimate indoor wedding. The main house, gazebo, pavilion and bar are all accessible to you for your event. And, beyond weddings, keep us in mind for family reunions, corporate events, teas, luncheons or other functions.

Our experience throughout the entire planning and wedding was wonderful! We mainly worked with Bud and he did everything we asked. The entire location was immaculate!! We purchased the largest package and were very glad we did. There were around 300 friends and family that attended. We have had many of our guest contact us to say what a beautiful place it is. Several guest said it was the prettiest outdoor wedding they have ever attended. We would absolutely recommend this venue!!
